This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
you don't have to cover your stuff up with all that red tape. noone's gonna steal your stuff. it's just covering up your artwork.
I know someone who works for marvel who doesn't have to worry about that.
It really would be a relief if I could just take it off..it takes away from the detail I think. I'm just a bit cautious, I've had my artwork ripped off before.
Much appreciation for the reply, and you are very welcome for my previous comment. Do you use one of the Painter programs or Photoshop? Or is your work done with more traditional art materials? I would love to get a copy of the current graphic software for photoshop, Painter, and Illustrator, but they make them so damned expensive.
Oh sorry! I didn't realise you'd asked questions! I must have missed the notification. As for my work, I use Photoshop but desperately want to get my hands on Painter! I'm doing more digital work recently but may bust out that traditional stuff for a while as I'm over the computer! Software is very expensive isn't it. If you can get your hands on photoshop at the very least then I'd recommend it a lot!
That's fine, I would understand if anyone could..about time and being busy. As for programs, they are -too- expensive if you ask me. I think the people that develope them forget that their target crowd are artists, and artists are more often than not poor. I would love to have Painter or some program that would allow for actual painting affects and air brushing. I have something called Picture it, but its pathetic and eats Ram like it is going out of style. I have a copy of Illustrator, but alas, no Photoshop or Painter. If I had the programs I need, I know I could get the effects desired. For now I guess I will work traditionally, or at least try what I have. Thank you for chatting with mein any case.
I completely agree, but then again, these programs are used more often than not in a professional industry where you make money from them so I think there's a point for such a high cost. Is it possible to get an academic discount or something like that? I wouldn't be able to afford them otherwise. Illustrator is so much fun though..I recommend going nuts with that. You can get some really smooth looking vector work from them. If I had more time I'd really explore illustator more so maybe go down that road? Thats okay! Anything to welcome you here!
I know someone who works for marvel who doesn't have to worry about that.
And welcome to DA! Enjoy your stay here and hopefully have some more art up in the near future.
